You cannot buy those little Frappucinos here, and the nearest Starbucks is an hour's walk away, and I do not have a car. So I am experimenting, due to Personal Health Wossname (insulin resistance, a suspected developing lactose intolerance, and stuff).
Recent efforts at tweaking the Top Secret Recipes model have resulted in a pleasant buzzy thing based on cow's milk -- 1/2 UK pint each double strength coffee/milk, 1/3 cup Splenda, 1tsp cocoa. But milk is milk and that's not a good thing. So now I'm about to try soy.
It's sweetened soy milk.
Can't bloody well *win*.
Soy. Ick. My condolences.
Though that chocolate soy milk isn't half bad....
!Soy Grande!

A lot of soy in the UK is sweetened with concentrated apple juice -- every supermarket I visited had both kinds (sugar and apple juice), and also unsweetened, to which you could add your own natural sweeteners (Stevia is good).

Stevia is also just about impossible to buy in the UK. But at least there's Splenda. I *heart* Splenda.
I've *got* some unsweetened, it's just... eh. Wanted to try the non-UHT stuff, but it seems all the fresh stuff has the apple juice in. HELLO, CAN TASTE APPLE.
God, I wanna go home.
