okay, I'll post.
So..... um. How 'bout those comics.
comics rock! What comics do you read?
Most of my comics reading is online nowadays. However I recently picked up a copy of The Barefoot Serpent by Scott Morse. I truly love Scott's style, both in the way he draws and in his framing of the story. Well worth a read.
What about the rest of you? Any nice finds as of late in the realm of the print comic?
i read both online and offline. Most of my comics i read is online they seem to have funnier and better stuff then what is on teh selves in fact some web comics are onn teh selves to, LOL liek megatoyko and PVP but i don't read PVP it is not funny to me ><
I'd love to read more comics, but just don't have the time. It sucks.
Huh, not too many people here, thats why. Comixpedia needs more plugs I believe.
Hair plugs. We need hair plugs.
Um, not for me though.... !
Actually we started to discuss graphic novels over at the Coffee Haus awhile ago. You're all invited over there if you behave yourselves.
And as for the question of plugs, yeah we could use'em, but the best way to attract people to the message boards is to have interesting and meaningful conversations. So, what do you say we discuss something y'all!
By the way, I've also read Scott Morse's "Barefoot Serpent" recently, and I have to say that it's one of the most intresting books I've read in awhile (and that includes Craig Thompson's Blankets, when you get right down to it). Beautifully laid out, and original in its scope.
I don't know if it always manages to do what it sets out to do, but it's a beautiful try. I think that the Akira Kurosawa sections are gorgeous, but they feel somewhat pasted together alongside the story-proper.
Actually, maybe this needs it's own thread. I'll go set one up at the Coffee Haus.
