Hi everyone!
While I've been reading Comixpedia for a while, I've only started posting on the boards today...
I'm a freelance illustrator who's worked in the RPG/CCG industry for the last 14+ years. Some of my favorite work has been on projects for Deadlands, Shadowrun, Traveller, Conspiracy X, Werewolf, 7th Sea, Shadowfist and Legend Of The Five Rings. Additionally, I've done work for GDW, Steve Jackson Games, ICE, TSR/WoTC, and various d20 publishers.
Recent projects have included Graverobbers From Outer Space (and all of it's sequels) for Z-Man Games and a batch of DemonWars stuff for Fast Forward Entertainment.
These days, though, the majority of my energies are focused on ATHENA VOLTAIRE, a weekly adventure comic that I draw over at Modern Tales. I still feel like a bit of an outsider to the web comics community at large, so I'd appreciate it if you could take a look at the strip and let me know what you think. Here's a link to the most recent episode:

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,
The comic looks top-notch to me. I'd read more but I'm not a subscriber.

Hi, lead, and "welcome" right back at ya!
As far as the resume goes, it's just a matter of consistently turning around the work.
I'd rather have people be envious of the work and not the resume, but I'll take what I can get!

...and who says you can't read more?
The latest episode is always free (and is available for an entire week) and we're only on episode 10 of a loooong story arc. Feel free to check us out (for free) on a weekly basis.
It's certainly not hard to catch up on the plot—it's comics, so it's not that hard to follow.
The key is that the weekly episodes are free. It's kind of like following a weekly episodic television show; you don't need to follow it from the launch & can pick up story elements as you go.
Granted, there's a lot of stuff in the subscribers-only section: 40+ pages of archives, 75+ pages of "DVD Extras" (concept art, promotional materials, unseen proposals and sequentials), etc...but that's kind of like watching a show like BUFFY for free on network television and determining later if you want to buy the DVD boxed sets later. You don't need the sets to enjoy the weekly series.
