Hello. I wandered over here due to the frightnight thing, and I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Ben, and I draw comics. Um. That doesn't really make me special around these parts. Specifically, I do a comic about cooking. And the apocalypse. Mainly cooking. Or it will be about cooking anyway. At some point in the future.

Also I draw and encourage others to draw 1-hour comics. Which are basically comics drawn in an hour. (You can see all the ones I have drawn on my archives page. And you can see other peoples efforts in this thread at zwol.org.)

I live in Seattle, and I am debating whether or not I want to go to A.P.E. this year.

Northwest artists rule ok. There seem to be a lot of us webcomic types around here. I keep wondering if there is something like the http://www.torontocomicjam.com/ around here and if not why not.

Lemme see, who else is from the northwest... You got Tycho and Gabe from penny arcade, of course... oh, and John Reasoner who did the old Rapture comic. Me and you. Oh, SpiffyCEO. He's from Portland. Who else?

I think at least one of the Pants Press people is from around here. And I also think Chris Balwin who draws Bruno lives out here somewhere. Jenn Manley Lee lives in Portland? Um. Donna Barr... Um... Maybe I'm just hallucinating. I drive by the Fantagraphics warehouse every day on my way to work.
