Hey, I'm trying to get February off the ground right now.
But if I get to do Fright Night again, which I hope I will, I think it will be with one opening panel instead of seven, or perhaps an "exquisite corpse" approach with teams of 5-10 completing long-form comics using the "partial view" appraoch.
so for the benefit of people who are relatively new here, by which i mean me, what is the uh, Fright Night Project exactly?

Since I'm back to doing webcomics this year, I'd (tentatively) like to participate.
The jam nature is always cool, but how about one that was independent of everyone else's work? Like, each team decides on a common start point and end point for a strip, and each artist on the team draws their own characters in their own adventure going from the common point A to the common point B?
Truth be told, I think another mix and match like Blind Date is a great idea. It forces us egomaniacal jackasses known as webcartoonists to actually pay attention to other people.
But, if I had one complaint about Blind Date was how a lot of the colaborations boiled down to "Hey, you draw my characters and I'll draw your characters and we'll call it a new work" (Except for that comic by Damonk, Matt C, and some other guy...)
Fright Night is an annual webcomics event, which began about six years ago when the folks over at Altbrand got together and did Halloween themed jams.
Last year we have a great event where creators were matched up with starter-panels, and had to develop them into full-fledged comics. This year will be in a similar vein, but there will be only one starter-panel (by a webcomic luminary with a long horror-history, and an affinity for all things Halloween).
The panel should be ready in a couple of weeks, and when it is I will post a new thread and start promoting the heck out of it. Keep your eyes peeled, and be sure to sign up (the prizes should be pretty cool to boot)!
Suggestions for 2004 Fright Night Project?

I agree with what's-his-name. What is this "Fright Night"?
