Great Comics So Far

Just cool stuff - That pink robot one cracked me up. Leonard and T's was funny stuff. Haven't read the comics behind Beer Babes and IS2 but it made them look interesting.

Looking forward to more!

I guess I just read the comic for tomorrow (17th?). Wow - great stuff. The Penny Arcade Fruit Fucker one was really funny. I also thought the crossover between Clan of the Cats and Zortic was a good effort with a fantastic last panel - best use of Shakespeare in a cross-over webcomic ever. Not sure why the Jamie didn't give the Zortic folks a COTC look for the comic (made the whole thing look like the movie Pete the Magic Dragon or anything where it's a real movie with a few animated-in characters).

Also liked the other one but didn't get the punchline :( What's this about the Carolina Panthers....

Thanks, it was a lot of fun to do. And it's a real honor to be up with these other fantastic samples.

And I'm actually glad you got the Pete's Dragon feel from it. Part of our idea was to emphasise the contrast between my "cartoony" characters and Jamie's more realistic style. Kind of like Roger Rabbit.

Also, to add to that "animation" look, Jamie obviously did most of the art, then I dropped my characters into his work. And it was REALLY hard for me to hold back and not try to match his fantastic texturing. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. This kind of thing would be a nightmare for a larger group to do, but just having two of us gave us some freedom to try something different.

Being a Flaming Lips fan, I got a great guffaw over Yoshimi, but I've enjoyed them all so far.

I wonder what event Matt has up his sleeve now. Another 24 hours? Get yer Irish up? Easter Bunny Madness?

Bring it on Shepherd :)

Some of the crossover comics were harder to follow for me 'cause I wasn't familiar with one (or both) of the comics/characters referenced. :-p

I loved Josh Lenick and Inkmonkey's submission. Best 700 Club cameo evar.

I thought the panthers lost the superbowl

I second that...that was f-ing great.

I tell yah though, that Choose Your Own Adventure comic... that's fucking comedic gold. The three guys who did it should be hailed as leaders of the webcomics industry.

Three cheers!
