We're not vampires, but we do need new folks to get involved for Comixpedia to continue to thrive.
Specifically we're looking for new section editors (we're always looking for new contributors).
Section editors "run" a section - reviews, features, columns, interviews, the blog. etc. You brainstorm, assign, edit, cajole, and write stories for your section (You may be the sole section editor or a co-editor depending on the section and your situation - we're flexible).
If you're interested or just want to ask questions post here or email me (xerexes at altbrand dot com works).
I think I might be into this, considering that I already run to Xerexes or Alex D. when I find something out. XD

Darnit. This is tempting. It really really is... But I just have too much to do right now. I don't want to bite off more than I can chew.
I had on my mind to contribute with the odd article and the stuff, but this cover issue has shied me away.
Nevertheless, I have a suggestion for you. I've noticed that Comixpedia's structure is very similar to a blog, where news run down the list and then disappear on the bottom regardless of their relevance.
Have you ever thought replacing this structure by another one, more newspaper-esque, like, for instance, http://www.lavanguardia.es/ ?
I know that newspaper is in Spanish, but I would like to point out what's so attractive to me on that layout: three columns wide, the first one with relevant news, the second one with less relevant ones, and the third one featuring fixed sections, leaving the bottom of the page for the "articles" section, forums, surveys and many other things. I find this layout more attractive than Comixpedia's current layout.
Do you think it's technically possible to reorganize Comixpedia's layout on a similar manner? And if so, do you think it could benefit Comixpedia?

It's possible but that layout is very busy - I have to say I don't like it at all. All of the week's stories are right next to the cover - I'd be happy to try out other ways to make the current week's (or even the current month's) stories prominent on the front page. The "headlines" part below the fold however makes sense to work like that because only the most current headlines stay visible. Older headlines fade away. The articles really shouldn't show up under headlines (they're not news headlines - they're the monthly content) but I've never thought it hurt any.
I'm also always willing to work on other suggestions - for example if there were discrete pieces of that layout that were appealing I could think about how to apply it to Comixpedia.
We're scheduled for an upgrade both in terms of the backend software and the "skin" of the site this summer so comments like this are timely again.

If you want, I could send you my suggestions on the form of a small sample page, and then send you the URL.
That would work for me
