Short article reporting on coming shutdown of Adventure Strips this month and some further explanation from publisher Joey Manley. Manley has published a note on the Adventure Strips website, providing further information on this business decision.

No, read the article - only Adventure Strips is shutting down. Modern Tales publishes several sites and this doesn't seem to be an indication that MT's business model is faltering, just a re-shifting of priorities by Manley.

AdventureStrips was our only site where creators were REQUIRED to post color strips. On the other sites, color is optional, a decision made by the creators of the strips.
So we won't be needing colorists as desperately, perhaps, as before.
But I'm still interested in building that database of colorists that our artists can look over & turn to when in need. Every colorist who sends in a submission will be added to the list. The MT/serializer/girlamatic/etc. creators will be the ones who evaluate your work and request your services, though.

More insight on the struggles of Adventure Strips can be found in this thread at talkaboutcomics. There is also a thread titled "Adventure Strips.com cancelled - vent here."
