Critique desperately needed for character design

John's picture

I've gone through several incarnations of my main character for my new comic, and I think I've improved as much as possible without getting feedback. So I'd love it if I could get some feedback on him.

Lou is an Australian photocopy repairman that's suppose to be a bit on the "big boned" side.

Thanks a lot for any feedback.

Hmm... tell you what, substitute a white Polo shirt for the wife beater, and tell me what you've got.

Yeah. It's Homer Simpson. :)

Maybe a little teaking of the wardrobe, something a little less generic.. The expression is good.

Plus also, poor guy got no joints.

Well here's a better Lou. He's got joints, and hopefully doesn't look like Homer

Much better. A large part of the Homer similarity was the five-o'clock shadow (also a little Flintstonian). Very good.
