Third-party news posting

Etiquette question: Is it good or bad manners to submit news about someone else's site or comic? I've seen things worth posting about, but I don't know how the creators would feel finding someone else posting their news for them. I've fretted over this since the Chex - Melonpool incident.

RE: Third-party news posting

You're welcome to submit news about my comic anytime ;)

I don't know whaty the etiquette is. But I've seen plenty of people post about other people's comics.

If someone gets mad that you submitted news about them, make that a news story.

"John Q angered that News was posted for him!"

I thought it was a worse breech of nettiquette to submit news about your own site than to submit news about someone else's.

We should do secret santa news postings, we all put our self boasting articles in a basket , and pass it around.
