Well we've finally gotten things off the ground after a year or so of talking, planning and finally drawing. Nemu-nemu.com has finally gone live!

First a little background: Kitsy and I both have common interests in art, comics, anime, manga and music not to mention we both coincidentally did comic strips for the Ka Leo O Hawaii (albeit different years) while we were in college at the University fo Hawaii. Kitsy won the Charles Schultz Award for her comic strip during that time. And I was already on my way to making websites for my career. We decided to combine our talents to create a new comic strip and publish via the web in hopes of spreading a little happiness into peoples lives all over the globe.

This is a tale of two gal pals and their adventures and friends they make. The strip isn't meant to be a single gag a day but rather a continous storyline that progresses. There will of course be the punchline here and there but overall the story telling aspects of four panels is what facinated us the most. Getting the best bang for the amount of space we have in four panels is a challenge sometimes but there is a lot that can be said in just four. Our main characters haven't showed up in the strip yet but that's all part of the story!

The site is geared for people who just want someplace fun to go to and perhaps take their minds off of the daily grind of life. Hopefully readers will enjoy the tale and remember being a kid again and seeing things through the eyes of youth. We'll publish each Monday, Wednesday and Friday and occasionally post some fun stuff as well.
