Bill in Congress threatens access to webcomics, rest of indie Internet.

STrRedWolf's picture

MoveOn.org recently discovered a bill that AT&T and other Internet ISP giants are trying to get enacted into law -- one that allows them to control which sites get better access to the Internet. If enacted, the playing field gets rocky as connectivity to indepenent webcomics and collectives dies while print comics bribe ISP's for the extra access. They're now running a petition to Congress asking the Congress critters to vote against the bill. Worth it to keep a level playing field.

Up against the wall!

See! Remember that thread just a few days ago about the big guys like DC and Marvel not being interested in putting their stuff on the web and/or forcing independent webcomic creators into obscurity?

This is where it starts, people!
