Toonists in Tampa?
Submitted by bobweiner on June 7, 2006 - 08:57
My wife and I are relocating to Tampa, FL in a few short weeks. I'm truly hoping I don't have to put The PC Weenies on hiatus, so I'm actively seeking guest-artists to fill in the gaping void and help us in our time of need. If you're interested in submitting a PCW guest-toon (it has to be a one-panel, 432 x 504 pixel sized drawing - family friendly), please let me know.
On another related note - are there any webcartoonists based out of Tampa / St. Petersburg? If so, please feel free to drop me a note and let me know!

Welcome to Tampa. I'm in Brandon. A suburb just east. As far as webcomics go, I do the whole journal comic thing. As well as other random stuff. When you're settled in let us know. We'll have to do a locals get together.

Thanks for the welcome, Joshua! We found a place to live this weekend (off of Linebaugh Rd.) and really look forward to moving down. And, definitely - once we're settled down, I'd definitely be up for a local meet-n-greet.

Welcome to Tampa!

Hey.. Tampa (well Palm Harbor.. but close enough) is the World HQ for Night Gig Studios (www.nightgig.com ) and The Gigcast, The Webcomics Podcast ( www.thegigcast.com) So welcome! Megacon is just up the road in Orlando every year, and um... it's really hot in the summer.
But anyway.. Feel free to stop on by Nightgig.com and let me know where in Tampa you'll be, I know a good irish Pub in Tampa where the Guinness is almost as good as in ireland. (Almost)

Thanks for the welcome, Tim! I'm still trying to coordinate movers, and find a place to live down in Tampa. We're thinking about living in New Tampa. Someplace close to the Bucaneers stadium. Definitely once we settle down I'd be up for meeting up at a pub, grabbing some brew and shooting the breeze on webcomics / Tampa / anything else. :)

The New Tampa Area is Hot
by NightgigTim - 06/09/2006 - 12:05
The New Tampa Area is Hot right now.. (only place left to build anyway) It's easy to get to the stadium from anywhere in the area really.. it's by the airport and 275 goes right by it. The area down by the stadium isn't the best place to live though. I'm sure you'll find the right place.
Just drop a line when you want that beer.
