The Recruitment Drive is ON!

Every year it's the same, once the WCCA winners are announced there are a million ideas and suggestions of what should or shouldn't have happened, everyone seems to have an idea or suggestion about how they would have done it. However when it comes to actually stepping up and participating in the discussion, planning and execution of the awards, that same vocal group seems to disappear.

Well, it's that time of year again, time to start recruiting fresh new ideas and enthusiasm. It's time to open up the doors to the WCCA planning committee to help organize the 2007 awards. We already have some exciting plans for next year and we can use all of the help we can get.

If you are intersted in helping, or if you just have any questions about what the committee does, don't hesitate to email me at

Damn straight.

Ryan's exactly right, announcing the winners without "the ceremony" was a huge failing on the part of WCCA. I understand the decision to get the results announced by the deadline promised, but by the time these ceremony comics do go online, few people will have any legitimate interest in seeing them and it's a real shame for the artists who toiled away to make them.

Main thing I'd recommend

Main thing I'd recommend is do not announce the winners without releases the ceremony comics at the same time. That's the whole point to them.
