Well, I'm about as new to the Top List as you are, so I've been struggling to make sense of the stats too.
As best I can make out, the Unique PVs are not votes but simply the Unique Visitors to your site, whether they came from Comixpedia or not and whether or not they voted. In this respect, the rankings here are compiled in a very different way from other top lists which look purely at votes and referrals.
As I say, I am new to this and I could be completely wrong. In which case, I'm sure Xerexes or one of the other guys around here will put us both right!

(Hey, Xerexes: by the way, under the Statistics panel, that first column actually shows Unique Visitors, not Unique Page Views.)

I didn't muck with the scripts' default terms but yeah I think unique is meant to reflect unique visitors and total pageviews reflects well, total pageviews.
