Girls Read Comics

Karen Healey has written a really good piece titled "A Distinct Lack of Shouting" in her blog "Girls Read Comics (And They're Pissed)" on how to write female characters in comics. I think it's a good read for any comic creators working physical comics or webcomics. Highly recommended.
