The Functions of Comics

Hellow, i'm a neweby here.

i've got some questions around comics functionality in our society.

do you have any idea about what are the functions of comics?

I somewhat realized that comics has been taken for granted as a form entertainment or pleasuring activity.

But i believed there should be more than that, there should be a wider acceptance of the functions of comics.Â

Could you guys please, help me by point it out if you have some ideas or opinion about it.
