NY Cares

I made a private post about this too, but it bears repeating:
After seeing a segment about it on NY1, I signed up for the New York Cares Winter Wishes Program, which pairs donors with a child's letter to Santa. The kids ask for all kinds of things: toys, games, clothing, even blankets or gifts for their parents. My letter came today and I'll be shopping tomorrow. Since I no longer work in an office that sets up a toy box or a donation drive, it's nice to know I can do something similar as an individual.
