My name's Faith and I do comics (allegedly this makes me a "cartoonist"). My very first graphic novel, Zombies Calling (yes, it has zombies in it, as well as a bitter rant about the student loan system), is out on NOVEMBER 14th from SLG Publishing! You can order it from Amazon here: Amazon.ca/.com. Or you can get it from your local comic shop. Or you can get it from MY local comic shop, Strange Adventures. You might bump into me while you're there.
Otherwise, I'm a background artist/animator/designer/jack of all trades at an animation studio in Halifax. I tend to babble a lot when I first meet people. This seems to be mistaken for "outgoing-ness" by a lot of people, but trust me, I'm a total introvert. I cried the whole way through Return of the King. I adore The Princess Bride and William Goldman. I wish I had a miniature Jon Stewart who would live in my closet and come out to amuse me whenever I felt down. I have two cats, a roommate and a cranky computer that hasn't been upgraded in seven years.
I have two online comics: Demonology 101, which is over 700 pages long (and completed) and Ice, which is dark and scary and was nomiminated for a Joe Shuster award. I also have a webpage which contains my other timewastin' artstuff.
I'm an artist who has just moved to Canada to try his luck. I do a little paid illustrating work on the side. In my spare time I like to self publish my own little zines/comics that I can send to friends and other people into comics.
Currently undergoing webcomic purgatory (also known as "in hiatus"), Black Kitty is an administrator for DrunkDuck, a webcomic hosting site. She also records the news and does drive-by recordings for NightGig's podcast, The Gigcast.
Her first foray into webcomics was with her comic series, Random Thoughts. It appeared in her university's newspapers and was published in DrunkDuck's first webcomic anthology. She also participated in Dimestore Production's Small Press Idol twice with her last entry being Wanderlands. Then real life came and swept her off her feet! And as they walked towards the sunset, she realized that's not the sun! That's "going to school and getting a job!"
Life is so tricksy.
Jim Zubkavich is an obsessed man in his mid twenties living in Eastern Canada with his beautiful girlfriend, queen of the elves. Comics, role-playing games, video games... all the geekly arts tumble in front of him like fish bait as he gulps up as much as he can swallow. After working all day at an animation studio drawing backgrounds for Saturday Morning cartoons, he works on webcomics projects, including the award-winning Makeshift Miracle and Flipside Stories.
