Dirk I. Tiede is the creator of the online manga "Paradigm Shift", published at dynamanga.net since 1999, and a founding cartoonist of ModernTales.com. He has also self-published "Paradigm Shift" as printed graphic novel series, and has been featured in Steven Winthrow's books "Toon Art: The Art of Digital Comics" and "Webcomics". Dirk currently lives and works in Chicago as a cartoonist and professional illustrator.

My name is Charlie Trotman. People call me Spike, and I live in Chicago. I was born in Washington, D.C. the day that Jim Jones poisoned 900 members of his doomsday cult in Jonestown, Guyana.

I grew up in Maryland. In the north, they call me Rebel. In the south, they call me Yankee.

My art education consists of four years at Spelman College, which were helpful, and a year-long program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, which was a complete waste of fucking time. More on that if there's interest.
