Starting on Monday, September 4th... Make Like A Tree Comics will be releasing its second "side-order story" of the summer. Following Tales of The Front: The Origin of Jared comes Graduation Day - A Prelude to the Series FILE 49.

It begins updates on Webcomics Nation with a new page twice a week (on Mondays and Wednesdays) until mid November! Where it will be followed by another 6-page mini involving Keith and Oliver (from File 49). This is Sara's first solo, comic release since File 49 ended.

What are "side-order stories"? It's what Make Like a Tree are calling this series of Full-Color, Back-Stories of Current Characters. The Origin of Jared was, of course, about Jared of The Front. Graduation Day is essentially Keith's back-story. There are many more in the works and we're hoping to release 1-2 a year.

Graduation Day is the 24-page prelude to File 49, narrated through the eyes of Keith...and about the boys of The Lennox Project:
The Lennox Project nurtures and explores supernatural abilities found in the young. Consisting of all boys ranging in age from 1-18, they’ve never known life outside of the protective walls of The Project. But, odd things begin to happen… Follow the four oldest boys of The Lennox Project (Uno, Deuce, Trey and Quarter) as they experience the sequence of events leading to their Graduation Day.



The first update will consist of the cover and three additional pages to really get the reader into the story without waiting a couple weeks. Is it necessary to have read File 49 to appreciate Graduation Day? It doesn’t hurt, but it’s not required to follow this high-paced story. The convenient part is…all 240 pages of the File 49 archives are also available (for free) on Webcomics Nations.
