Okay I was going to copy this from the wiki discussion page but it's out of date and not that helpful (it was mostly a list of genres needing articles). But here's the link anyhow.
A couple of things to kickstart this discussion:
1. We continue to need to copy work from the wikipedia as needed.
2. The new library at Comixpedia.com automatically links to creators full names and webcomic names at the Encyclopedia - if an article exists there great. If an article exist but under a variation on the name in the Comixpedia.com library we need to create a redirect. If the article doesn't exist at all we'd like to create one of course. I'm not sure of the best way to track that (or whether we need to track it at all). I'm happy to remind people of this on the front page here from time to time - and there's no reason why creators can't start a page on themselves and their webcomics (or encourage their fans to do so). A vanity page is better than a blank page (well at least that's my thought - let me know if people violently disagree with that)
3. Any link at Comixpedia.org that is red means the page it links to hasn't been created yet.
4. I'd like to at least make an effort to have the Encyclopedia GENRES and FORMATS track the GENRES and FORMATS at Comixpedia.com. That can be a two-way dynamic with both sites learning from each other. What would be bad though would be, for example, to call it HEROES one place and SUPERHEROES at another. Comixpedia.org should also try to create a category of STYLES - that is something we might be able to add to the Library at a later date.
5. I really do think discussion here is going to attract much broader and active participation than the community portal wiki pages did BUT if as a tool to people working on the wiki it would be more convenient to keep a list of ARTICLES WANTED there I'm not opposed to that.
Any thought into assigning
Any thought into assigning people certain tasks?
I'm free to do something.
You Could Copy More Articles from the Wikipedia Over
If you're pretty familar with any webcomics please see if they have an entry and if not start one for them (or improve an existing one).
I suppose we could try to assign things but I'm not sure how that would work at this point - there's a LOT needed right now. One thing you could also do is see what wikipedia articles on webcomics we're missing right now - you can help with copying and pasting those over to Comixpedia.org.
Just make sure when you add an article from the Wikipedia to comixpedia.org that you add the {{credit}} tag so we give credit where it's due, and this way it's simple.
Dividing comics by style is
Dividing comics by style is going to be much more difficult than dividing them by genre. Too many comics defy obvious categorization by style. There was a wide-ranging debate on the subject when Onlinecomics.net added a style feature. In the end the only way to keep most people happy was to let creators list their comics under up to two styles at once.

Interesting point - I confess I haven't given a lot of thought to "style" and didn't realize it had been controversial at onlinecomics.net either. I am curious as to what everyone thinks about it though...

Manga is a style that come to my mind.
Manga have a lot of meaning to a lot of people. Some say it is Japanese comics, others say it a style, and even more say it meant comic. So manga as a style is particular problem to deal with. Lot of creators will say categorized their comic as "manga" while some anime purist say it should be manga influenced comic.
