The Cartoon Commune is hiring!

I'm expanding the site a bit, and bringing on more artists, so I can divvy up the commissions. I have some people on board, but I'm MAYBE looking for a couple more. I'm kind of frightened to bust out an open call, because I don't want to offend anyone. Right now, I'm just gauging who's interested, either for my open spots now, or for down the line if people leave.

Building the roster isn't just about gathering great artists. I need just the right blend of people with different styles and strengths. Right now, I ESPECIALLY need someone who can draw in a Marvel/DC style, which is what every single customer asks for.

And I'm looking for people who can work fast, and meet deadlines. Custom Comics are a lot of work, the deadlines are often short, and the pay is only worth it if you can work fast. So I need people who can bust out quality work without breaking a sweat.

I will handle all the boring non-comic makin' stuff.... promotion, dealing with customers, taking orders, processing payments, making pdfs, getting books manufactured and shipped. For that, I take a 5% commission, the rest of the page rate (seen here) is all you.

Just give me a shout if you are interested. Like I said, this is an informal call.... if you have a style that I need, I may snap you up right away, or I may keep you in mind if I expand again later. I dunno how well this new business plan is gonna work yet.
