Wow, I'm allowed a blog?

What can you say in a first blog that isn't already trite or cliché? Not much I guess.

I've joined the metaphorical rat race, trying to beat all others to the coveted cheese, the curdled desire of all aspiring rats. I mean cartoonists. But I'm not sure if I am comfortable with the tag "cartoonist" yet. I only really started drawing a month before my first strips, and even though I know for a fact I'm better than some, I also painfully know I'm a lot worse than many. So who knows? Perhaps I'll give up in a weeks time? Does anyone read these things? I don't think I'm reading it, and I'm typing it.

Check out my webcomic, and...what can I say that hasn't been said in a plug? Maybe the truth? OK, check out my webcomic because I'm an egotist and need your approval. And money. Better get working on that donate button...

The 2nd rule of blog club is: include a link to what you're plugging! Which I almost didn't do again!

Can we get any more depressing?

Cartooning is a tough business, just like everything else. But let's be realistic...in my positive reality, i believe most people put up on-line comics not for profit, but because they genuinely want to share their stories and artwork with other people they think might like and appreciate it.

At least, that's what I did. Making money from it didn't cross my mind, and probably won't for some time (or at least until I'm more established)

And blogs? Surprisingly enough, I never liked blogging, but people seem to actually READ this stuff, so it's a good idea to write once in a while. It's good to find topics that interest you and stick with them, or just to make a statement and see what other people think. Getting different opinions are always interesting.

Yes, that would help, wouldn't it? I'm so modest at being a plugger, I'm letting people find the link themselves! I'll probably post on this here blog once everyday, so maybe that'll get me somewhere. Who knows? And thanks for wishing me luck! I'm gonna need it.
