I've just started a short graphic novel/ docucomic on the subject of the 'lyrical terrorist' - Samina Malik.

This was very big in the UK news over the past few weeks, here are some links: here, here and here. Her sentence was handed out today. A foolish young woman who seemingly did not harm anyone faces a 9 month term in prison for what can only be described as a thought crime.

Here's what I've done so far. As you'll see, this is a work in progress, and I'm about 1/3 of the way through the story. I feel that graphic novels can explain complex issues in an accessible way, and are capable of dealing with serious issues - even politics.
