Ignatz Nominees For Online Comic Announced

The nominees for the Ignatz awards are out and up for the Outstanding Online Comic category are:

Renee French's entry was published on Serializer.net (and nowhere else as far as I can tell). Since serializer.net is still down hopefully publisher Joey Manley can give Ms. French a link to a temporary locaton for the comic.

Harvey Awards Deadline This Friday

The Harvey Awards Final Ballot Deadline is Friday, July 28th. Ballots are still available at harveyawards.org and can be submitted via ground mail or electronically. Ballots must arrive by midnight on July 28th in order to be counted. Once completed, ballots may be e-mailed to pjcjmc3@sbcglobal.net. This is the most effective way to make sure that your vote is counted!

Friends of Lulu Award Nominees Announced

The Beat has the list of the Friends of Lulu Award nominees. Notable nominations include Lisa Jonte (Girlamatic editor) for Lulu of the Year, and Hope Larson and Clio Chang for Kim Yale Award for Best New Female Talent.

Webcartoonists' Choice Awards needs presenters!

The Webcartoonists' Choice Awards online ceremony is set to once again be a star-studded event!

Today's the Deadline For Eisner Voting

If you're eligible to vote today's the deadline to turn in your ballot.

Eisner Awards administrator Jackie Estrada states that eligible voters are "creators (writers, pencillers, inkers, colorists, letterers), editors, publishers, retailers, and distributor managers." She also says that if you are eligible and didn't get a ballot, "e-mail me and I can send you a pdf: jackiee@mindspring.com."

The Harvey Awards have released their list of nominations for 2006.

Also of interest is the nomination for Flight vol. 2 in the anthology category, Kazu Kibuishi's Daisy Kutter in "Best Graphic Album - Previously published" and James Kochalka's Super f*ckers in the category "Special Award for Humor in Comics".

So, Webcomics?

Seems to be an awful lot of dialogue here about Drupal and the sort. But not so much about webcomics.

With the WCCA Nominations I figure everyone would be goin to bat for their favorites this year. Or is that faux pas? Editorial silence in the house?

There's been a delay in WCCA Nomination Round voting, but Final Round voting dates will not change.
