The deadline for the Eyskream 2nd Anniversary BIG CONTEST has been extended to Apirl 9th, 2006. You are encouraged to doodle up a great strip for this event.

I've got a new calendar system working here at Comixpedia.com.  Please submit conventions, online events and local meetups to it.  It's very straightforward - when logged in, click on create content (upper right-hand side, under your username) and then choose EVENT. 

Fill in all of the relevent detail in the box (especially the website URL if available) and then add in the start and end date/times for the event.

The Fourth Annual St George's Day British Webcomic Piss-Up

The new website for the St George's Day British Webcomic Piss-Up 4 is now officially launched. This annual event invites any British-made webcomic to join in by, on April 24th, creating a comic on this year's theme, swords. Anyone interested in taking part, find out more information here

I'm taking some inspiration from D.J. Coffman and Yirmumah to declare this Saturday International Burt Reynolds Day and urge everyone worldwide to include a cameo of Burt Reynolds (mustache or no mustache) in your webcomic (or on your webcomic website) this Saturday.

Do it for Burt! Do it for webcomics!

Eisner Award Accepting Nominations

The Eisner Awards announced a call for nominations, including a Best Webcomic category. The definition of the category seems to be slightly different from last year's Best Digital Comic category, which included comics distributed by any digital media.
