PC Weenies looking for guest artists
Submitted by bobweiner on May 17, 2005 - 15:47
In a few weeks I'll be away on a much-needed vacation. To keep the toons going while I'm gone, I'm inviting any interested webcartoonists to submit a PC Weenies guest-strip for while I'm gone. The only requirements are that the image size be 432 x 504 pixels or less, so that the toon will display properly on the site. If you're interested, please drop me a line ( info at pcweenies dot com ).
To express my sincere thanks, I'll be happy to plug your site when your guest-toon is posted.
Do Cross-Overs Right!
Submitted by Xaviar Xerexes on May 9, 2005 - 10:35
A great post at Ping Teo's Webcomic Finds on that timeless comic convention, the cross-over. This bit should be mandatory:
Proper introductions. Don't assume we automatically know who the other party is. Chanting their names to each other in two panels does not count either. Introduce the personalities of the other party to the audience.
Ultimate Sci-fi Parody Crossover!

As the final Star Wars movie approaches, join two of the most popular Science Fiction Parody webcomics as they clash for tickets... Mayberry Melonpool vs. Zortic!
Steve Troop and Mark Mekkes bring you the meeting of their characters in line to see Star Wars! And the confrontation is explosive! Don't miss it!
Continuous Comics
Submitted by Sonictail on March 31, 2005 - 23:28
For anyone looking for something different to do, Continuous Comics has just launched. Everyone knows the form, do a page of the comic and pass it on, as seen in comixpedia's own weekly webcomic jam. However this one is a tad more open form and is designed for anyone to get in and have fun without too much trouble.
Also of note, this one is being run by Rex of Make With the Funny and Sketch Battle, so this is not just a flash in the pan. Check it out!

KeenSpot Newsbox Controversy Sparks Policy Clarification
Submitted by Erik Melander on March 10, 2005 - 23:12
An update to this story: it appears to be that in the case of the recent Friendly Hostility newsbox, Keenspot did not follow its internal policy to provide newsbox images to all of its artists to review beforehand. Keenspot policy is to require the provision of a "G" rated image as an alternative for individual artists to use if any artists object to the originally submitted newsbox image.
Original post follows after the break.

QoW Kestral Makes Post-QoW S*P Debut (And Exit?)
Submitted by Xaviar Xerexes on February 24, 2005 - 19:33
Queen Of Wands ended recently, sending central character Kestral off to where she could meet up with Something Positive character Davan who she had previously met online in prior cross-overs between QoW and S*P.
Something Positive puts the "Is Kestral going to become part of S*P cast" speculation to rest today. (Pretty finally too from the looks of it). Reactions range all over the place, although many readers seemed to think it was very appropriate to S*P and funny.
