Scary Go Round Guest Week in Progress

A plethora of webcomikers have taken the reins at Scary Go Round this week.

How much is a plethora you ask? One week, apparently.

Webcomic Crossover Database

Finally, a central location to find all of your favorite webcomic cross-overs. It also allows one to play a webcomic version of "6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon" by entering two webcomics into the database and finding the shortest cross-over path between the two.

Banishville: Banish Ed and Squaresville Cross-over All This Week

Banish Ed and Squaresville have teamed-up to create "Banishville," a week-long storyline that runs on both sites (it began yesterday, March 22nd). The strips are not only being co-written by Erik and Kenny, but they are also splitting the artistic duties on every strip! Half of the strips are penciled by Erik and finished by Kenny, and the other half are just the opposite. The result is a storyline with a truly unique visual feel, and humor that is the best of both worlds.

Narbonic Invades Less Popular Webcomic----- Again

Pixelated is upadating once again. And that means:

The Pixelated/Narbonic Crossover is back!

You can catch the beginning of this whole mess right here, exclusively on the Pixelated website.

What, you didn't know about the crossover??

Do All Webcomics Exist on Earth 2?

A fun thread on crossovers is developing on the Graphic Smash forum - kicking off with reactions to a recent T Campbell editorial.

Alternative Pages: Fan Art with A Difference

Bailey of END TIMES took Al Schroeder, the creator of MINDMISTRESS, up on his request for other webcomic artists to redraw one of his pages. You can see the results here. (please note there is a link both on the page, and if you click on the picture it will take you to END TIMES also.)

It's fan art with a difference, and a quite delightful way to see other artist's takes on some of the original characters. On his Alternative Pages Al Schroeder invites any other interested and talented artists to similarly take one of the MINDMISTRESS pages and redraw it in his or her own style.

Diesel Sweeties and Other Cameos in MINDMISTRESS

Rob of LOWER PLACE and his annoying anime pet/companion/keeper, Peeko, make an appearance in MINDMISTRESS on the latest page. This is the final cameo of three in a row, the two preceding pages meeting with the PVP gang and Clango and Maura from DIESEL SWEETIES.

Fans! and It's Walky Crossover This Week

Fans! and It's Walky cross-over this week in a story on Fans! called "The Seventh Power."

The Swaps Keep Coming!

R Stevens lays it all out on his website:

April Fool's comic swaps of one type or another are possibly the oldest tradition among web comics! Jeff Rowland of Wigu called me up to swap strips a couple hours before publication... and how the hell am I supposed to reject him! He's been in this game since before there was even a DS.

Other notable swaps today: PVP and Penny-Arcade.

Classic Webcomic Cross-overs

It doesn't seem to happen like it used to but back in the day all the hep kids were dropping science in each others' backyard:

1999

Sluggy Freelance and User Friendly: AJ drops in on Riff; and Torg gets a job with Columbia Internet.

User Friendly and Superosity: Dust Puppy visits Superosity-land.

Bobbins and Waiting For Bob: The Bobbins crew met up with Waiting for Bob's Bernie and Sean.

Bobbins and Goats: Jon from Goats meets Holly from Bobbins. Small sparks gain a little altitude. Later Jon and Philip actually make it to England.

2000

When I Grow Up and Waiting For Bob: Zoe investigates Sean.

Bobbins and Superosity: Holly and Shelley visit Boardy and Bobby goes to England. Somewhere along the way Professor Ash shows up.

2001

When I Grow Up and Diesel Sweeties: Roger finds true robot love! (not entirely sure where in the DS archives its half is)

I'm sure there's lots more I'm forgetting - feel free to post more classic crossovers below. Thanks!
