Webcomic Awareness Day Hours Away – May 5th

We’re hours away from the 2004 Webcomic Awareness Day. This year’s version is called Online Comics Day and is headed up by online cartoonist Howard Tayler (Schlock Mercenary) and accomplished programmer David Brady.

Unfortunately I missed this earlier. It’s too late for webtoonists to sign up for the event this year, but be sure to check the site tomorrow for a list of participating webtoonists.

Wandering webcomic ronin. Created Comixpedia (2002-2005) and ComixTalk (2006-2012; 2016-?). Made a lot of unfinished comics and novels.

  1. Shame on you, people. How can you be unaware of the comic awareness day? I was unaware until it was too late.

    I guess I’d read more webcomics. 😉

  2. I just love how KeenSpace goes down in the exact moments it cannot afford to.

    Happy Online Comics Day, everyone!

  3. Yeah, the irony of Keenspace having problems (although oddly I can FTP in) on Webcomics Awareness Day struck ME too…oh, well, I wasn’t going to participate anyway.—Al

  4. And of course as soon as I say that, it comes back up—YAAAYYY!!! As you were. Someone was being ironic about my irony—–Al

  5. Merry Preach to the Choir Day! So, did they manage to get a spotlight with anyone that doesn’t already do webcomics?

  6. I know I mentioned it in the forum at least once… Of course I don’t think that post survived the great forum meltdown a few months back.

  7. Yes, hopefully this day will make thousands, maybe even hundreds, of webcomic readers realise that webcomics exist.
