Webcomic Signs Web-Syndication Deal
Submitted by Tyler Martin on November 30, 2005 - 16:58
At only three months old, On the Rocks signs a non-exclusive paid syndication contract.
The deal was in a couple months ago, and after a website overhaul, family edutainment site Funbrain.com, part of the Family Education Network (A Pearson Education Inc property), now publishes On the Rocks as a major content feature. Funbrain.com has been around since 1997 and receives over six million unique visitors a month providing kids grade K-8 with educational and fun games and content. The site features some online books but On the Rocks will be its first comic strip feature.

Wow, that's quite impressive. I also like how it isn't a newspaper site or anything. It's quite likely websites will be forced to carry webcomics, in the same way that newspapers were originally forced to carry comics.
