WirePop — www.wirepop.com — announced today the new webcomic “Lotte vs The Dead,” by Brion Foulke, will be joining the webcomic line-up on WirePop.com, the growing Manga and Manga-styled webcomic subscription magazine.
“If you have ever read more then one webcomic then chances are you have bumped into Brion’s FlipSide and we are really glad to now have him on WirePop.” said George Panella, WirePops’ Publisher “Brion is bringing to WirePop a much more edgy story then the rest of the line-up. Taking a bit of influence from classic horror films and super hero comics, Lotte vs The Dead may scare you or make you laugh. Be sure to check his new webcomic on WirePop we dare you.”
Foulke talked about “Lotte vs The Dead” saying, “I’ve wanted to do this story for awhile now, ever since the night when I was drunk and thought it up. Am I allowed to say that? No…? Ok, scratch out the part about me being drunk, and insert ‘creatively inspired.’ That’s better. Anyway, it’s an absolutely insane story about superheroes vs zombies, it’s completely over the top and not for the faint of heart. You may even go insane reading it, I make no guarantees that won’t happen.”
Foulke had this to say about joining the Manga subscription magazine WirePop.com, “It sounds like a great service, and I think it could really take off. At least I hope so. We web-comics artists have to suffer for our art, you see. I think it’s probably the whole ‘not getting paid thing’ that hurts the most. To actually get paid for your art, wow, it brings a tear of joy to my eye. So please, sign up to WirePop today and help starving artists like me pay for their daily ramen!”
“Lotte vs The Dead” will debut on the WirePop.com website when it is launched later this summer, and will be updated weekly. The latest episode of every WirePop webcomic will be free for anyone to read. “This new industry of publishing comics online is affording readers a new way to access quality, professional comics that was never really possible in the print world. The diligent reader can read the WirePop.com webcomics for free if they keep up with the weekly updates,” said Panella “but the paying subscriber will gain access to more content, extras and the ever growing archive of WirePop webcomics.” WirePop.com subscription prices will be $2.95 a month or $24.95 a year. Paying subscribers will have access to all on-going WirePop.com webcomics and archives plus exclusive subscriber only comics. They will also have access to exclusive content and features such as: Galleries, Downloads, Comic Bookmarks, Creator Journals and more.
