It covers all forms of print cartooning from conception to creation to promotion to publication. It covers comic strips, single-panel gag comics, political cartoons, caricature and more. It starts with the mechanics of drawing and goes even further with chapters on perspective, composition, character design, and lettering.
There are even special chapters on issues the other books miss such as writing humor, creating anthropomorphic characters, scanning/processing work for publication, promoting your work, and handling the business aspects of cartooning.
Published by Adams Media, as part of their popular “Everything” series, this 304-page book includes over 140 original cartoons by the author (specially created for this project).
