Sequential Tart Interviews Art Spiegelman

Sequential Tart writer, Kim DeVries, had a chance to talk with Art Spiegelman. Spiegelman is the Pulitzer winning creator of Maus (among many other things). He’s been in the news lately because of his flap with the New Yorker:

Lately it’s been publicized that he left in protest of the war and because the New Yorker was too conservative, however this is a strange permutation of a more mundane story. As he said, Art likes to control everything, so he was getting fed up with the layers of supervision he had to deal with at the New Yorker. Further, and more importantly, he just wanted to do comix again.
