Stuff Sucks Definitely Doesn’t

Stuff Sucks by Liz Groenveld is a great new webcomic that’s just starting. Filled with snappy dialogue, a great initial premise and loose, expressive black and white artwork, I’m definitely hooked and waiting for the next installment.

  1. The comic’s not bad, but does this technically belong in the Rookies section? I was under the impression that a rookie should be new to the webcomics scene in general. The artist of Stuff Sucks previously worked on Weirdism, a comic who’s history I know nothing about

  2. Honestly I’ve never quite caught what people find so amazing about Liz’s work. Weirdism was barely anything new plot-wise and was rarely updated but it was linked by …well… damn near every comic I was reading at the time. I s’pose my apathy about Weirdism is the only thing holding me back from reading Stuff Sucks.

When in Rome, read what Xerexes suggests

  3. I have no idea what that means…

But a couple of things – Liz is new to me (missed Weirdism completely) and Stuff Sucks is new. So there’s no reason not to post about it. I actually saw Liz’s sig in our forums, checked out the webcomic and liked it enough to write it up myself.

Rookies is an attempt to have a category to give newcomers an excuse to post some news about their webcomic. They usually run on Friday and if this is still a secret – here’s the scoop – if you are new or have a new project and submit a post about it to us there’s a more then decent chance someone at Comixpedia will post it. Part of our mission is to try and draw attention to new work and new artists.
