My partner and I published GAAK with Steve Horton and his Smashout Comics on Wowio. The whole situation is sad. Particularly since Platinum Comics showed up and just the mere mention of that name scares everyone away. Not that Wowio didn't have it's prolems with late payments before. But it's association with Platinum is the real kiss of doom.
Sad too. Wowio was one of the few places we indy comic folks could make money with our comics.

And Newsarama has an interview with Steve Horton who was one of the original publishers to sign up with WOWIO and has stopped using them.
