Comixpedia’s Behind The Music: R. K. Milholland From 2003
Okay just kidding about the title, and I don’t even know how I found this, but well, it was kind of cool to see one of Randy K. Milholland’s first posts on Comixpedia on May 30, 2003. That’s kind of a historical record, isn’t it?
I don’t think Something Positive had gotten absolutely huge yet although it was definitely creating a buzz.

Tuesday News Blues
TCJ has an interesting article up examining R. Crumb’s copyright suit against Amazon.com for an image Amazon used on its 404 page (File Not Found). The image, although not the Crumb original, is somewhat like Crumb’s "Keep On Truckin’" man image. Besides outlining that case, the article delves into some of the changes to copyright law in our lifetime.

Comixpedia’s Webcomic Encyclopedia Is Back Up
The wiki-driven community-edited webcomics encyclopedia is back up after a move to the new server. We’re actually within range of 1500 articles which is a nice round number for a target to get to. Anyone can add and edit articles there – you just have to set up a user account over there and log-in.
Don’t forget we also have a forum here where we discuss issues related to the encyclopedia project.

Busting Out Of the Web
It’s another look back at the webcomics world that was. February was a short month, but jam-packed with news of webcomics busting free of the web itself into print, phones and iPods.
And what does all of this mean for the notion of the webcomic itself?
Needed Design Fixes for Comixpedia Site
Drupal under the hood is working out quite well and now that I’ve looked at the theme system a bit it’s actually pretty straightforward and flexible.
What hasn’t changed of course if my utter ineptness with CSS-driven designs.
Despite the handiness of a flexible width design, what we need for this site is a fixed width design that allows for two 150 columns (right and left) and a center column that supports 600 pixels (or less) wide images without causing the format to break. It also shouldn’t let images bleed out of the center column over the right-hand column.
