After nearly six months during which Aggie Janicot of American Gothic Daily took over from me as artist on Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan, I am back at the drawing board. I'll be doing pencil-based art at first as my schedule won't immediately allow a return to full colour, but I expect to be fully back to normal in a month or so. New pages to appear every Monday.
The storyline I interrupted last year, Feral will finally resume publication on Sunday, July 29, 2007. It will run as a weekly comic updating on Sunday, on the Modern Tales ROCR archives.
Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan readers: to get your thrice-weekly fix, go to Invasion on Webcomicsnation. To read the archived stories, go to the archives on Modern Tales.
Today and tomorrow, the ROCR.net front page will update six times a day with a short autobiographical story, "Injury", from 1997. The story starts here. Once it's completed, "Injury" will be moved to the Pin Drop section of the site.
I keep hearing from people who have been waiting for invitations to host Project Wonderful advertising for months, some of them since February and some of them after repeatedly PM-ing or emailing to Project Wonderful.
I'll be at the Small Press convention at Vera Groningen on Saturday, June 23, with Jeroen and Jelena and possibly some others. I probably won't have any new product to sell unless I manage to free up two days on Thursday and Friday to finally put together and print up the Headsmen collection. Unless I make all of next week's Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan comics cut-n-pasted talking heads comics, this is unlikely. But you never know.
Two more wallpapers went up this weekend:
Do You Know the Way to the Office of Rites?; and

Witches' Sabbath.
This time around, I won't repeat what's in the blurbs. I'll also be moving the materials to the new Downloads section first thing tomorrow morning.
Over the next few weekends I'll be bringing back some of the desktop wallpapers I've done since 2002-ish. Given enough time and good enough ideas, I may even make some new ones.
There was a wallpaper page on the old Comicgenesis ROCR site, but the images linked from there either had become unavailable as a result of the latest server reshuffle in the Modern Tales family of sites (they were hosted on Webcomicsnation's ftp server, which no longer exists) or they're about to become unavailable (the older images are hosted at the old users.bart.nl/~samizdat site, which will probably close down once my bart.nl subscription ends).
After two months of working pretty much non-stop on the crossover storyline Invasion, I was going to take a break. Then I wrote a blog post about my planned break, in which I mentioned that the comic had gained more than 250 daily readers in two months. So I checked to see if I wasn't overestimating the growth - and found that the actual difference was closer to 400. Crossovers clearly work.
It's a bit awkward to have a break while the readership is riding high. I'm not going to go back on my plans and scramble to get pages for tomorrow and Monday out - I need the time to do other things. But here's the deal. Yesterday, I had 1392 unique visitors. If I get more than 1500 today, I will compensate for the break by putting up weekend updates next weekend.
