Kip Manley has an interesting piece in his blog Long story; short pier posted on 6/26 called “Why You Don’t Read Comics.” Much of it first printed in Anodyne Magazine, it’s a well-researched thought piece on problems in the comics industry now and in 1998 (when the original article was printed). It touches briefly on web comics in a couple of places and is otherwise just pretty darned interesting. Direct link here.
