It’s time for Community Interview #8. This time David Rees of Get Your War On has agreed to answer your questions. Here’s how it works — post your question to David in a comment in response to this post.
ONE QUESTION PER COMMENT, PLEASE.
If you see another question you think is interesting, moderate it up. If you see something not so useful, moderate it down. We’ll take questions for two weeks, until November 14th. We’ll send the top ten questions to David to answer.
You’ve gotten a lot of response to GYWO yet your previous work on the web was decidedly less political in nature. Which do you enjoy creating more and what do you get out of each type?
I understand you donate the profits from your book to the Afghani Mine Detection & Dog Center Team #5 cuz the comic was originally inspired by the USA’s war in Afghanistan. How did you hook up with this particular charity and do you have anything you’d like to say about them?
Have you experienced any right-wing backlash from the strip?
Have you ever heard from the person who actually made the clip art you use in GYWO?
after doing the “get your war on” material, is it difficult to go back to regular filing technique type of material? (either from a creative or a fan response standpoint?)
