There's an incredible wealth of articles in the ComixTalk archives: features and columns on craft, theory and business, insightful reviews and interviews with some of the most interesting folks in webcomics. We'll be taking a regular look back at past issues and catching up with creators we've previously covered.
What comic projects are you working on now?
Right now, I'm working on the Newshounds sequel, which is promising to be plenty involved, as it should flesh out a few previously minor characters a little more. Also, I'm still continuing Something Happens, my non-continuous gag comic, which, in my opinion, gets more fun with every week.
Anything special webcomic-wise planned for this Halloween?
No, not really. I'm trying to be more focused on advertising the current comics. I think people are actually still surprised that Something Happens exists, and I'd like to promote it more to the people who may be unaware that I've been doing anything besides Newshounds.
Where are you located these days and what are you up to during the daytime hours?
I live in Seattle now, and currently I'm just bouncing from temp job to temp job, trying to stash some money away. Finding a permanent job that doesn't make me want to stick electrodes in my ears is another priority of mine.
What are you planning on working on in 2008?
More Newshounds, more Something Happens, and possibly some other side projects, should I be able to find the time. I do plan to publish the
Newshounds sequel as a graphic novel in some format, but that's yet to be determined. At any rate, there's always something new and exciting going on in my world. Wherever that is.
