You may have noticed the sponsor ad for SquirrelWorks’ webcomic Battlegate on Comixpedia this month. I’ll admit I just got a chance to check out Chris Moujaes’ excellent new webcomic. And it really is a fun read with wonderful artwork (there’s a bit of Don Bluth in the style which is great as far as I’m concerned).
It starts off with a dramatic scene with main character Hugo, then shifts backwards in time to when Lt. Marcko Paolo is assigned basically to babysit Hugo who seems to be an extreme troublemaker. The last page so far is a cliffhanger – I’m eagerly awaiting the next update (for which I’ve subscribed to the RSS feed).
