Comic Foundry Article on North American “Manga”

I thought this was interesting – Chris Arrant writes about manga with a focus on the growth in "manga" written in english (as opposed to translated into english).

I put manga in quotes once above because there seems to be ongoing controversy over what is and isn’t manga and one view is that whatever it is, manga is not comics written in a language other than Japanese and made by folks not from Japan.
