Ctrl+Alt+Del Announces Animated Series

Blind Ferret Entertainment announced a deal to develop and distribute an animated series based on the popular gaming webcomic Ctrl+Alt+Del by Tim Buckley.

Ctrl+Alt+Del: The Animated Series will be available online at cad-animation.com. A trailer for Episode 1, scheduled for release next February 1, 2006, is already available at the site. The series will release a new four-minute episode every month.

“I had been approached by other companies before about animating the Ctrl+Alt+Del universe, but BFE was the only team with the experience and skills to turn this into a reality,” said Ctrl+Alt+Del creator Tim Buckley. “We’ve been working very closely, and I couldn’t be happier with the show we’re putting together.”

“I’ve always been a big fan of Ctrl+Alt+Del and it’s exciting to work on such a unique project with Tim Buckley,” said Randy Waxman, President and CEO of Blind Ferret Entertainment. “Seeing an opportunity, we approached (Tim) Buckley with the concept of creating an animated series based on his popular comic strip. We knew his characters would translate well if brought to life in an animated series.”

“While we’re making full use of all the new media technologies at our disposal, this series doesn’t look like a typical animation you’d see online,” said Ryan Sohmer, BFE Vice President and Series Director. “With a traditional 2D style, a professional voice cast and a lengthy development period, we’ve achieved television quality animation that will blow away anything else seen on the web these days.”

Blind Ferret Entertainment is an independent production company with upcoming projects in television, film and print. Blind Ferret Entertainment is based in Montreal, Canada.

  1. What?! Gamer comic fans are possibly acting CRAZY?

This is a development that has shocked me to my core. Who’d have thought that was even possible? Man, sure took me by surprise. This is like being told there’s no Santa when you were a kid. I hope our social fabric can bounce back.

  2. Kris’s blog quickly switched to a moderated format after he posted that news.
I hope he takes all the replies that didn’t make the cut and posts them somewhere for us to enjoy.

  3. Erik and I posted at the same time but I’m pulling rank and keeping my post :0

Erik noted that there was already some reactions to this announcement from Kris, Zampson and Phil.
