Groovy Ass Alien Kreatures Invade DrunkDuck.com

The alien invasion adventure G.A.A.K: Groovy Ass Alien Kreatures (www.drunkduck.com/GAAK) by Darryl Hughes and Monique MacNaughton invades DrunkDuck.com (www.drunkduck.com) with its first series of installments: “Talk about a Sigourney Weaver Nightmare”, where a group of 6th grade misfits named Zach, Jemmy, Plato, and Chubs come face to face with what looks like the supporting cast from a Sigourney Weaver movie.

So, what is GAAK? Well, it’s like ET — with teeth. It’s like The Gremlins if they came from outer space and had great comic timing. GAAK is what you get when you mix equal parts of Steven Spielberg’s The Goonies with classic 50s style creature feature movies like The Invaders from Mars.

G.A.A.K: Groovy Ass Alien Kreatures by Darryl Hughes and Monique MacNaughton. Scifi alien invasion adventure in the Spielberg tradition. New pages updated daily.

  1. Thanks. The idea behind GAAK was to give a nod to old 50’s style horror movies (a great many of which had some small town getting podded out by aliens ala “The Invasion of the Body Snatchers”) and the Spielberg movies from the 80’s (which seemed to star damned near every popular but flash in the pan child star of the moment) that we all grew up watching. If you like it then I’ve done my job right. Keep reading. 🙂

  2. WHOA! Where’d this come from? This comic is as creepy cool as hell. It’s all the way “Goonies”, but the writing style and artwork have that old EC comics feel to it. It’s got my interest alright.
