Wow I go out of town for a couple of days on a business trip (that would be real life business as in the kind that pays my rent and puts food on my family’s table, not the Comixpedia business which, um, doesn’t) and I get back and all heck is loose. And quite possibly broken too.
Today was the first day for me at work since the May cover went up that I took a look at it from the work place. I’m actually kind of in agreement with some of the folks on our forums – I was a bit uncomfortable looking at it from work. That’s never really been a criteria for the cover artwork but we’ve never had an issue theme that was intentionally provocative. Not just provocative but borderline exploitive. The point of this issue is to talk about the limits being pushed, mangled and broken by webcomics. Will we accomplish that? Maybe, it’s always really down to showtime and after the curtain rises that we get to see whether an issue of Comixpedia flies or crashes.
I am glad some folks care enough to praise and/or complain about something the site did. It’s easier to work with when it’s criticism as opposed to flaming but that’s life. I can deal.
