Komikwerks Announces First Print Anthology

Komikwerks, a leader in online and digitally distributed comics, has announced a series of printed anthologies, which will feature some of today’s best comics and animation professionals. The first book, entitled “Komikwerks Volume 1” will ship to stores in August 2003.

The book features work from such creators as Danny Miki (Spawn, Ultimate X-Men), Aaron Sowd (Detective Comics, Ultimate War), Vatche Mavlian (Daredevil/Spider-Man, Captain America: Red, White & Blue), Andy Kuhn (Grendel, Firebreather), Matt Haley (Tomb Raider, Gen13), S.D. Lara (Batman Beyond), James Burks (Iron Giant, Treasure Planet), and Vinton Heuck (He-Man animated series).

Keith Giffen, writer of Justice League, Lobo Unbound, and Ambush Bug, commented that Komikwerks Volume 1 is comprised of “Exuberant works by young creators not yet jaded by marketplace realities. A genuinely fun read.”

Komikwerks Volume 1 can be ordered now through Diamond Previews. It will ship in August. The book is 120 pages, color cover with b&w interiors, digest-sized (approx 8″x5″), and will retail at $9.95 US, $13.95 CAN.
