Not sure when Ms. Garrity became the editor of Modern Tales Longplay but one of its first comics (pre-Garrity reign) is still one of my favorites: 3 Lessons by Mike Hawthorne is sharply rendered, nicely paced and has just that right “Stand-By-Me” kind of nostalgia-tinged tone that gets right to you.
