Xaviar Xerexes

Wandering webcomic ronin. Created Comixpedia (2002-2005) and ComixTalk (2006-2012; 2016-?). Made a lot of unfinished comics and novels.

  1. Exactly – one series used to be on MT which is a subscription site. This is a lot more of his work and it’s for free.

  2. I think that this is news. It’s not so much about SHUCK than it is about a current trend that sees a more definitive business model of merging web and print comics. Using the web to promote your print comic isn’t new but, actually posting your comic on the web with daily or weekly updates is becoming a much more prevalent way to do business. Whether it’s posting a previously published print comic on the web or vice versa, this is definitely a new direction and chapter in the world of webcomics. PVComics has done this in some form, Carla Speed McNeil is doing this, and as well as entering the arena of web-distribution, 01Comics.com is also doing this. With Diamond putting the squeeze on the small press publisher, I’m betting that we’re going to see a lot more of this trend.

  3. News or not, I’m glad it was mentioned. This is the first time it’s been brought to my attention, and it looks a pretty fun comic.
