Fixes and updates to the Top List and the Creator Dashboard. If you’re a creator with an entry in our library listings or would like to have one read more!
I spent sometime patching a few things on the Comixpedia Top List tonight as well as fixing some errors in the Creator Dashboard interface. The Top List now sports a link to an explanation of how to put your webcomic on the toplist (in a nutshell – get yourself in the library and then it’s pretty easy to put your webcomics on the Top List). I also made top list entries link directly to their library entries so if you want to get more info on a listed webcomic, it’s a link away.
Second, I improved the creator update on the dashboard a bit – now you can edit your current entry directly. (I’d still like to add a preview function there but haven’t thought of an easy way to do it yet). In addition, when adding or editing your webcomics there’s now complete support for adding in a banner, a button and a sample image from your webcomic (max: 600 pixel width). This wasn’t functional last month so if you’re in the library you may want to check your entries and update them accordingly.
Finally, I added a “slogan” along with a description for each webcomic entry. The description can handle a fairly large amount of text but the slogan is limited to 254 characters. The slogan, however, is what shows up when your webcomic is listed on the Top List and other places on Comixpedia. The slogan is also new this month so many older entries don’t have one yet.
I also added a forum thread for issues around the site – if you spot something you can post it there or maybe find some info about it if we’re already aware of it.
